Zagreb Cooking Class & Food Tour - The best way to taste the city!

Join a cooking class with a famous Dolac Market Food tour!

Discover the deliciousness of Croatian Cuisine with our guided Food Tour followed by a hands-on cooking class and lunch with a glass of Croatian wine.

Meet our chef-guide at the local’s favorite meeting point – under the clock at the main square. We meet at 10 am every day and start the gastronomic experience with chef’s suggestion of a 3-course seasonal traditional meal while heading towards the market.

Dolac is the main and oldest market in Zagreb, right nex to the main square. The picturesque two decks market will serve as a scenography to tell a story about the Croatian national cuisine, regional variety, seasonal highlights and traditional dishes.

After buying everything we need, we head toward our kitchen located on the beautiful British square where many the locals drink their coffee at almost any time of the day.

Upon arriving, we will start with an aperitivo – traditional Croatian schnaps and begin with your cooking class. The class is a hands-on experience guided by our experienced and enthusiastic chef. We will prepare a three course menu together and afterwards have a cosy lunch with a glass of wine.

What to expect?

  • Guided market – food tour and lecture on the Croatian national cuisine, regional variety, seasonal highlights and traditional dishes.
  • Hands-on guided cooking – class of 3 traditional Croatian meals
  • Cosy lunch of the prepared food with a glass of roatian wine paired with the main course
  • Aperitivo on the arrival in the kitchen and a glass of Wine with the main course

  • The menu is always Cratian traditional food sometimes with a more modern interpretation. The specific daily menu is suggested by the chef based on the season and is flexible for discussion with the group.

  • Seasonal salad with grilled homemade cheese, Croatian olive oil and Prsciutto; Toasted bread
  • Beef with Sage and white Wine; Buckweed prepared on butter ; Pepper and onion salad with fground Pepper

Autumn – Winter

  • Pumpkin spup with Pumpkin seed oil and Grilled Pumpkin seeds; Toasted bread
  • Chicken stew with vegetables: Homemade pasta for the stew – making of pasta; Suaerkraut salad
  • Apple Strudel with Wallnuts, Honey and Rasins
